Wow! Time flies when you are having fun even if you are retired! I have many blog posts partially completed to let you know what we have been up to and the cool places we have seen, however, the key words are “partially completed.”
We are now back in North America until September 13, 2016 when we leave Seattle for Hong Kong to start exploring Asia for a few years. This is a quick break from our worldwide travelling lifestyle to take care of a few things:
- Officiate at the wedding vow renewal ceremony for some great friends of ours celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary. This has been in the works for two years and we wouldn’t miss it for the world.
- Move the contents of our half full 5ft x 5ft storage locker in Nashville, TN to the Seattle, WA area. My family lives in Vancouver, BC and my wife’s family lives in Western Washington State. We are probably most likely to return to this area for visits over the coming years, so it made sense for us to move our belongings there.
- Promote New Heights School International. In January 2016 I became a board member of a USA based charity supporting a school in Lambare, Paraguay that serves poor children that would have little chance to receive a quality education without the help of sponsors and assistance. I will be speaking a few times during our trip promoting the school. Check out the web site www.newheightsschoolintl.com Keep checking back as the site is still under development.
Here is our itinerary. We would love to connect if we are in the area. Just leave me a message at carey@ournomadicexperience.com

Just spent some time reading your blogs. Dad is thrilled – me too. Great work.
A suggestion for your blog manager. A “back to the top” button would help.

Good luck getting stuff done before taking off for Hong Kong! I went to China in November, and it was so different from what I was expecting. In a good way! It definitely exceeded my expectations. A few years earlier I went to Singapore and Malaysia. I loved visiting Southeast Asia. The people in Malaysia were the friendliest I’ve ever met. And there was so much more to see in Singapore than I imagined. It was not the strict, orderly place you hear so much about. And the food can’t be beat. Enjoy!

Thanks, Billy. We are looking forward to new experiences. Good to hear about Singapore. I too have heard the stories about Singapore being expensive and very strict. We will have to see for ourselves.
